Crossing guards

Crossing guards help Badger Ridge Middle School students traverse North Main Street on Jan. 6, 2020. The service, previously run by the Verona Police Department, is now under private management.

If you are looking for a part time job, the schools are still in need of additional crossing guards for this year.

Consider becoming a crossing guard and help keep kids safe during the school year.

Guards get paid for their time, working a couple hours in the morning and afternoon.

Typical hours are 6:30-8:30 a.m. and 2:30-3:30 p.m., with different hours on late start days.

Call Lynn Murray at 608-421-3184 for more information.
